The situation of raw materials, which has been very tense for some time, has become even more explosive in recent weeks due to Russia’s war in Ukraine. Technical plastics, metals and even cardboard packaging are very poorly available and have become extremely expensive in recent days. Individual products are already traded at daily prices.

After having been able to perform very well in spite of all adversities during the Corona crisis last year and having been hopeful to have mastered this difficult situation together with you, we are now surprised by this new crisis, whose scope and impact are still far from foreseeable.

Many of our suppliers were forced to cancel the existing terms and conditions without a transitional period and also to re-evaluate the already agreed pricing and deliveries. Since it has not been possible for us to build up decent buffer stocks in the last 12 months due to the long-lasting shortage, we are forced to accept the prevailing prices for materials in order to remain productive. Unfortunately, we have to pass on some of these massive cost increases to you. For this reason, we are forced from now on to charge a price surcharge of 9 % at short notice for all new orders on all our switch products.

Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to estimate how long this situation will be last and the surcharge will be necessary.

However, we assure you that, even in this difficult period, we will do everything possible to maintain deliverability at the best possible price.
