Hot brewed, freshly tapped, enjoyed cool
Where the brewing water from our own springs, the two-row brewing barley, the natural hops and pure cultured yeast meet, I once again encountered our Kraus & Naimer switches. A number of them help at Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu to ensure that the huge cauldrons do what they are supposed to do.
Beer has been brewed in the heart of the Black Forest for 900 years. I was able to experience exactly how this works during a historical brewery tour last autumn. The tour is really interesting and entertaining, and even if the wealth of information is anything but dry, the beer tasting is really good at the end (https://alpirsbacher.de/unsere-brauwelt/).
The family business from the Black Forest still sticks to traditional recipes, regional ingredients and a passion for craftsmanship. And you can taste it too!
Leisure tip:
If you want to combine the brewery tour with a little adventure, I recommend the Hirschgrund-Zipline, a fun event between the treetops at dizzy heights (https://www.hirschgrund-zipline.de/) with 7 lanes. Don't forget hiking shoes.
