How to Identify the Original?

Since 1907, Kraus & Naimer has been synonymous with high-quality switches and top-notch products. Over the years, there have been numerous attempts to imitate our products. Among others, budget suppliers have advertised switchgear that closely resembles the original switches from Kraus & Naimer. Especially the blue color of our switch series (Blue Line Switches) is often copied. If switches are not purchased directly through our sales organizations, confusion can thus often arise.

But how can you ensure that you are using a genuine Kraus & Naimer switch? In the following blog post, we will help you distinguish the original from imitations in no time.

Features of a Genuine Kraus & Naimer Switch

If your product has the following features, it is very likely that it is an original.

Face Plate

The front plates of our switches are available in various colors such as yellow, black, or brushed stainless steel.

Our switches can be identified by our characteristic Phi symbol in the upper left corner and the Kraus & Naimer lettering in the lower left corner of the front plate.

Data Label

Our side-mounted label on the switch contains various information, including test marks of relevant international standards and approvals as well as electrical values.

Our logo is also visible on the label and serves as a distinguishing feature of an original Kraus & Naimer product.

Back of the Switch

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, all Kraus & Naimer switches are blue and are therefore also referred to as Blue Line Switches.

Although our blue is often imitated, our company emblem with the inscription Kraus & Naimer PRODUCT is located on the back, making it easier to identify an original.

Packaging

The packaging of our switchgear is equipped with a packaging label.

This label contains various information, such as the product's article and material number and test marks of relevant international standards and approvals.

It also bears the official Kraus & Naimer company logo.

Included Installation Instructions

Each of our switches is delivered in the original packaging along with printed installation instructions.

Our logo and other company data, such as our website URL, can also be found on these instructions.

Older and New Products

Our Logo

Over the years, Kraus & Naimer has made some adjustments to the company logo.

If your switchgear has an older logo, our sales team can help you verify its authenticity.

Our Data Labels

On older models of our switches, black labels may be attached instead of white ones.

For several years now, newly manufactured switches have only been equipped with white labels.

Why Choose the Original?

After showing how to distinguish a genuine Kraus & Naimer switch from other switchgear, the question arises: Why buy the original and not a budget device?

A genuine Kraus & Naimer switch offers numerous advantages you can rely on:

✔️ Thoroughly Tested

Kraus & Naimer stands for precisely manufactured switchgear that undergoes intensive quality controls. Imitations often cannot match the material quality and manufacturing precision. Since customer satisfaction is our top priority, we do not rely solely on statistical quality tests.

Our switches are 100% quality tested, meaning we test each switch individually to provide our customers with high-quality and reliable products.

✔️ Safety and Compliance

Original products meet all relevant international and national safety standards and regulations. These regulations ensure that our switchgear can be used safely and reliably in various industrial applications.

Imitations, on the other hand, are usually not subject to such testing/certification and can pose significant risks to people and machines.

✔️ Durability and Investment Protection

A genuine Kraus & Naimer switchgear is designed for a long service life. Cheap copies can fail earlier and, in the worst case, cause costly failures in your systems.

Many of our customers want to continue operating their old machines due to their long mechanical lifespan. Kraus & Naimer has an extensive archive of custom-made switches dating back to the 1950s. In most cases, we can quickly manufacture historical switches with the benefits of modern technology at attractive prices.

This means you can rely on us to provide replacement switches for your machines and systems even after several decades.

✔️ Personal Support

When you purchase an original Kraus & Naimer product, you benefit from the technical support of our experienced sales team. If you need help choosing the right switch or placing orders, our team is available by phone and email.

If you still have doubts about whether your switch is an original Kraus & Naimer product, please contact our sales team. Ideally, send our colleagues the following photos of your product via e-mail:
